The hotel’s 80-seat restaurant serves a variety of good traditional pub food, freshly-prepared on the premises and presented with care and imagination.
The chef offers an extensive menu, including traditional favourites and daily specials, using seasonal ingredients from local producers whenever possible.
A traditional roast lunch is served on Sundays.
The Dog and Bear also has an excellent wine list, featuring a number of exclusive New World wines from specially-selected vineyards in Australia, New Zealand, Chile and South Africa.
